In response to the recent challenges and increased demand for appointments over the winter where an increase in acute respiratory infections is seen an additional service is being provided to ensure appointments are available for those in need.
This means, that patients who contact the practice with respiratory symptoms, such as a new cough, wheeze, ear or throat pain will likely be directed to the GP lead service based at Trafford General Hospital. Patients will be given a timeslot to be assessed face to face by a GP at Trafford General. Appointments will be offered from 10:00 – 22:00.
Whilst, we do understand that for some patients when you are poorly travelling to Trafford General Hospital can feel challenging. However, thank you for your understanding as accepting an appointment at the respiratory hub will create more appointments within the health care system and helps to ensure we are able to see other patients with urgent health concerns (non-respiratory), complex-needs and the on-going management of health conditions and routine care.
