Physician associates (PAs) are healthcare professionals who work as part of a multidisciplinary team with supervision from a named senior doctor (a General Medical Council registered consultant or general practitioner). PAs are part of the government’s medical associate professions (MAPs) grouping in the health and care workforce and have been working in the UK since 2003.
We are delighted to have on our team Physician Associate Laura Baker, who has over 3 years experience working within General Practice. Laura is supervised by Dr Kate Howard. The addition of Laura to our team, further improves access to care for our patients.
We will also book locum physician associates when required to help improve access who work under the supervision of the duty doctor.
