Video guides, self-help, pharmacy and NHS 111 information

There’s a range of help available for you 24/7. It’s helpful to always make sure you have some basic supplies of pain & fever relief for you and your family & that you’ve ordered any repeat prescriptions in good time, particularly over any holiday periods. An emergency supply of your regular medication can be requested from any local pharmacy (at the discretion of the pharmacist), though there will be a charge for the cost of the medication supply.

Here’s a range of videos for parents & adults explaining what to do about many common conditions & the helpful booklet – When should I worry booklet for parents & carers is useful & available in other languages here (scroll down for choice of languages).

Here’s a leaflet about the minor illness conditions any local pharmacist can help with. They should be your first point of call for things like coughs, colds, sore throats, flu; aches & pains; mouth ulcers; red eyes; sleeping problems; tummy upsets, constipation or diarrhoea, & can talk to you in private (not over the counter) about these problems.

For services in Sale & Trafford to support your wellbeing, there’s a number of community hubs with information about community spaces & groups, along with warm living rooms during the colder months.

For advice & help if you’re not sure where to turn, you can use NHS 111 online or by ringing 111 if you prefer.

We are open every weekday 8am – 6:30pm (with enhanced access appointments available outside of these times & on Saturdays, across our network). If you’re able to contact us online for help using AskMyGP – this is quicker & easier for you & is available 08:00 – 09:00 every weekday. As always, you can call us instead on 0161 905 4711 & we’ll help in whatever way we can.
