Although the National Health Service provides its services “free of charge”, there are some aspects of our service that fall outside the remit of the NHS. These services are chargeable, competitively priced and payable at the point of service delivery. Our current charges are set out here.
Please note that there may be times we have to temporarily suspend these services, to ensure that we meet our NHS obligations to all our patients.
In normal circumstances, patients will be informed of the likely charges when they request our non-NHS services. Payment is requested on collection of the completed form or on attendance for the non-NHS service. A receipt will be issued which will be required before travel vaccinations can be administered.
Payment may be made in cash or by cheque made payable to “Washway Road Medical Centre”. We currently have no facility to accept credit or debit card payments.
Patients booking medical examinations: Please tell us in good time if you find you are unable to attend. A fee of £21.00 will be charged to patients failing to attend without giving adequate notice.
These rates remain effective from 1 May 2019 and are competitive for non-NHS services.
If you are visiting the UK from overseas and require medical attention, our GPs are happy to see patients for a private consultation.
Fees for private patients are as follows:
|Surgery Appointment - standard (10 mins)||£45.00|
|Surgery Appointment - long (20 mins)||£70.00|
|Home Visit (When clinically appropriate only)||£90.00|
|(Pharmacy fees for medication will also apply)|
Patients who can produce an EHIC will be exempt from charges.
